Hello, I'm interested in learning more about social stories and pre-coaching. My son is 7 and has aspergers. I'm so glad to find this forum and others like them.

Thanks - we have used them a lot when my son was younger. For toileting, haircuts, the fear of the vaccum cleaner (not kidding), and explaining how daddy comes and goes but always come back (work travel). Now - my son is older... 7 going on 8 and I would like to do one having to do with "when things are too loud" appropriate responses.. instead of flopping down on the ground, etc. I also need to do one about where its ok to draw and not (like not on my furniture or walls).
Depending on how our trip to the dentist goes next week - might have to work on that one too.

I guess social stories can be tough, depending on the developmental level of your child. I really just try to just have fun with them. MT - if you need any help, send me an email. Maybe we can figure something out together.
